WHAT IS Q-SWITCH LASER?
Q-Switch is a laser that may produce beams at different wavelengths at 1064 nm and 532 nm. Q-Switch may apply efficient shots within a shorter period; it is preferred most since it fits for different skin types. It is effective on sunspots, age spots, speckles, melasma, hormonal blemishes, blemishes appeared by injury.
Q-Switch creates a bleaching effect on the pigments that cause the blemish without damaging the intact tissue on the application area. Different wavelengths are suitable for different blemishes; therefore Q-Switch allows this range.
HOW IS Q-SWITCH LASER APPLIED?
The procedure lasts about 15 to 30 minutes according to the application area. Better results may be obtained on many blemishes in a single session; however, number of sessions may increase in deeper spots. Moreover, skin nature and response rate of the individual affect number of these sessions.
Like other laser procedures, you should avoid sun exposure of the treated area after Q-Switch laser. You should be careful to apply sunscreen creams and protect the area for a while. Furthermore, sensitivity may last for several hours after the procedure.
